WHAT IS APT
Most coaching programmes stop at the qualifying exam. APT picks up exactly where they leave off.
APT - Academic Professionals Training is Biotecnika's flagship academic career programme. It trains you in the skills that Indian universities actually test for in a selection committee — pedagogy, grant writing, classroom management, NEP 2020 compliance, and the teaching demonstration. Skills that no coaching class ever covered.
Phase 2 and Phase 3 of APT are open to all life science graduates — no CSIR NET qualification required. Whether you cleared NET, SET, SLET, UGC NET, or hold a PhD, APT was built for you.
The programme is structured across three phases:
Phase 1 : CSIR NET Life Sciences Coaching | 65 Hours Complete unit-wise coaching across all 13 CSIR NET Life Sciences units, from Biochemistry and Cell Biology to Ecology, Evolution, and Molecular Techniques.
Phase 2 : Professional Academic Training | 48 Hours 11 expert-led modules covering pedagogy, EdTech, lab management, research supervision, NEP 2020, NAAC, NBA, and mock interviews. The heart of APT.
Phase 3 : Supervised Microteaching | 15 Hours Live 15-minute microteaching sessions with structured faculty and peer feedback. The capstone where theory becomes classroom confidence.
WHO IS THIS FOR? Eligibility:
APT Phase 2 & 3 are open to any life science graduate serious about a faculty career. No exam qualification is required to enrol in the professional training modules.
- CSIR NET LS Qualifiers You've cleared the exam. APT prepares you for the faculty interview, the classroom, and the research environment — everything the coaching class never covered.
- UGC NET / SET / SLET Qualifiers Your eligibility certificate is ready. Now you need the pedagogy, assessment design, and interview skills to match. APT is built around exactly these needs.
- PhD Scholars & Research Fellows Give yourself a head start on the academic job market — grant writing, scientific publishing, mentoring undergraduates, and selection committee preparation.
- Postdoctoral Researchers Translate your research experience into teaching skills and institutional contribution — exactly what hiring committees want to see from a faculty candidate.
- Junior Lecturers & Ad-hoc Faculty Already teaching but never formally trained in pedagogy? APT fills that gap — Bloom's Taxonomy, LMS, NEP 2020, NAAC documentation — the practical toolkit for the modern Indian lecturer.
- CSIR NET Aspirants Still preparing for the exam? Phase 1 covers the full CSIR NET Life Sciences syllabus. The full 3-phase bundle gives you the complete journey from preparation to placement.

FAQ
Do I need to have cleared CSIR NET to join APT?
- No. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are open to all life science graduates regardless of exam qualification. If you are still preparing for NET, you can join the full program which includes Phase 1 coaching.
I cleared NET two years ago. Is APT still relevant for me?
- Absolutely. The professional training in Phase 2 — pedagogy, EdTech, grant writing, NEP compliance, mock interviews — is relevant at every stage of an academic career. Many participants are experienced lecturers who want to formalise and upgrade their practice.
Is this a live programme or a recorded course?
APT is primarily live and instructor-led. All sessions are delivered live online. Recordings are available on LMS for revision. Phase 3 microteaching must be attended live as it involves real-time feedback.
I am a working professional. Can I manage the schedule?
Yes. APT batches run late evenings. All sessions are also recorded on LMS, so you never miss content. The programme is specifically designed around full-time working professionals.
How is APT different from a Faculty Development Programme (FDP)?
Standard FDPs are 3 to 5 day workshops. APT is a 128-hour structured programme with live sessions, practical assignments, supervised microteaching, mock interviews, and 6 months of placement support far more comprehensive than any FDP.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants who complete Phase 2 and Phase 3 including all assignments receive an APT Certificate of Completion from Biotecnika Info Labs. Only Phase 1 Participants will not receive any certificate.
